Maanvi Gagroo Narrates Her Lesbian Friend's Complicated Love Story- EXCLUSIVE
Maanvi Gagroo who has an interesting role in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan narrated her lesbian friend's love story that was riddled with complications
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan delves into the topic of homosexuality and actress Maanvi Gagroo who essays the character of Goggle Tripathy in the film, is all for LGBTQ rights.
In fact, the actress tells us how last year, she had done a role on those lines for her digital film, 377 Abnormal. Then, she narrates an incident of one of her female friends who’s a lesbian.
Says Maanvi, "I have a very close female friend. She is in relationship with another girl. While my friend is open about her girlfriend, and even her family knows and they have no issues as such, but her partner's family hasn't accepted it yet. So, she is fighting her own battle.”
Then, she decodes the trials and tribulations that homosexuals face as she says “Usually, it's in 3 steps. You first have to come to terms with yourself. Second step is family, as you have to come out to them and the last step is the world, the society. It's great for people to overcome the last step, but a lot of people struggle in the first 2 steps.” Can’t agree enough!
We point out about a saying that homosexuals are touted to be more creative than the rest to which she disagrees and opines that creativity is not gender specific.
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is directed by Hitesh Kewalya, produced by Aanand L Rai, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Himanshu Sharma. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Jeetu, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, and Maanvi Gagroo in important roles. It is releasing tomorrow i.e. on Feb 21.
